The year is about to end. Technically, it’s my last working day (well, the office is open on 31^st, but smart me is on off). Take a deep breath and you can smell holiday spirit (read lack of enthusiasm toward work) in the entire place!

When there are too many things making rounds on your mind, you can’t find the right words to say them. You tend to get incoherent coupled with disjointed train of thoughts and what not. Well, the bottom line: whatever that is inside, remains inside.

Something like this is happening to me these days. I am having some of my lousiest days at work, with deadlines flying past me without giving me any clue. I thought I had my way with words but quite not up to the mark to take care of a corporate blog. Writing is fine…but promoting whatever you’ve written is not my cup of tea. So are presentations…WTF! Tell me what to do…and I’ll do it. What’s the point of making PowerPoint presentations on what I intend to do?! In any case, I’ll have to do whatever my boss asks me to do!!

And after I manage to survive the day, next in line is the crawling Delhi traffic. Urrrgh…how I hate it! Since one of my colleague – one from the fairer sex – tags along with me…I can’t even do the zooooom bhroom thingie on my bike!! Add 10 more frustration point! Oh…I generally have to find her an auto as well (Dealing with autowalla – add 15 points more)

Now this might look as if I am the greatest pessimist to walk on mother earth.
But I can explain this...

Past failures have been able to tie me down.
I still dream of open skies…
spread my clipped wings…have the will to fly!

What’s important is that I have not given up yet. I am still in the race.

When life seems to play cruel jokes on you, the best you can do is cling on to your sense of humor.

Last few weeks I’ve been frantically looking for a decent house to move in. There weren’t many stones unturned (read property dealers). Finally, I had to settle for a house I never ever thought I’ll move in. It’s near the flat that I’ve been living (I was thinking to shift somewhere nearer to my office) and the set up of the new place SUCKS. It is like Indian Railways compartments - S1, S2, S3 - and you have a 3 room set!

To add salt to the already raw deal, I am working for a real estate client and going all blah blah about the Indian Property boom and bust and bubble and what not! So much so, that I am helping one of my friend to maintain a blog on real estate! And the mighty expert has no place to shift in.


But I’m hoping for the best and trying to imagine this pigeon/shit hole is just a momentary lapse of luck. Yes, like everywhere else, it comes down to Luck to find a nice place in Delhi. As of now, the plan is, once my financial muscle recover from all the commissions I paid and my back muscle from the whole packing-lifting-unpacking routine, I'll shift to some nice place.

Hmmm…it’s been long since I’ve been thinking of what ‘direction’ this blog should go in. Today…I finally decided to make it my online diary. Of course it will be utter stupidity to put down every thing that I think of for the world to see. But then – I am well known for that trait.

Its early morn now and there ain’t much to write about for today, except for that I did my laundry at 8 in the morning. That was after I took a walk with a bruised leg that hurt like hell.
Why the self-torture?
Well, I was angry, and I still am – and I love to put myself into test when I’m angry. Good that I have just the perfect place to loose myself and vent out everything inside me today…the Sepultura concert! Just the perfect mood to go for a Heavy Metal show. Right now ‘Desperate Cry’ is literally blasting off my sound box. Feels good.

Now why am I angry?...or am I actually angry?
I don’t know.
Maybe I’m just a bit hurt. But being angry seems much easier than being hurt. Don’t ya think? If you’re hurt, you’re actually admitting that someone else has control over your life. I don’t like the idea of someone’s actions having any effect on my mood. But the fact that I am angry, also indicate the same thing.
Maybe the control of my life is no longer in my hands…no matter how fucked up my life was while it was.

They say there’s a song for every situation. I am a firm believer. Right now, I am ‘Its been a while’ by Stained.

There were so many great ideas that I had when I decided to start this entirely new blog. But now…after I got quite a decent name “freaky journal” all the great (mind the bold and italics) ideas seem to have evaporated!

So what is this blog gonna be? “Whatever it may be…but it should not be directionless” – Tradaptor’s wise advice. Hmmm….thats true. But again…for a guy, who have been directionless all his life, maintaining a singular direction of a blog seems to be quite a daunting task!!! Come on…how is it possible to keep on thinking and writing ‘in the same direction’?

So whatever it may be…this is the first post. I am keeping all my options open. I’ll write whatever I feel like…serious stuff, stupid stuff…and extremely stupid stuff. Things that I care about, things that I really don’t care about…call this my li’l black book. (Are guyz supposed to keep black book?...that too a self proclaimed Metal head…I dunno…and I don’t give a shit)

Whatever this turns out to be…I am glad that I have written enough to publish as my first post…tada…there you are!
